We're just a few weeks away from the start of our
We hope to see you this winter in one of our daytime, evening, and weekend classes
for school-aged students and adults
Art Classes
Offering three terms of Art Classes throughout the school year, ArtVenture’s unique studio space provides students with small class size and individualized learning. Classes are available daytime, evenings, and weekends for all ages - from Senior Kindergarten through to Adults.
With an academic approach to art education, the program infuses an element of art history and colour theory with each project. As students delve deeper into understanding the works of 19th and 20th century artists and art movements, they are guided through the process of creation and work towards finding their own artistic voice within their artwork.
February 3 to 24, 2025
"Canadian Art: Exploring a Country’s
Creative Identity"
Delivered by Art Historian Sonia Halpern, This illustrated 4-part series examines the role of identity in the evolution of Canadian art since the late 19th century. We will discover that Canada’s history has included an exciting array of artists with various interpretations of what it means to be “Canadian”, reinforcing the fact that Canadian art encompasses more than the Group of Seven!
Art Camps
With a focus on the arts, each program allows campers a chance to express themselves creatively and find their own unique artistic voice. Whether your artist is interested in painting, drawing, sculpting, illustrating, or writing stories, our fun and educational program infuses a component of art history as campers are introduced to a variety of styles and techniques in art.
